Demonstrating major investment into the UK’s aviation infrastructure, Gatwick has announced plans for its five year £1.15 billion Capital Investment Programme, unveiling a list of high profile consultancies approved to provide design and construction services.
Building on our previous work at Gatwick, delivering the new railway station and southern concourse interface, TSP Projects are delighted to have been selected for involvement in the next phase of improvements and development.
Following a rigorous selection process involving over 250 organisations, TSP Projects have been awarded preferred bidder status within the Low Complexity Engineering framework . With works set to include a brand new hangar, an extension to Pier 6 and a new arrivals facility in the South Terminal, the scope for design and engineering service provision is vast.
Drawing on a wealth of transportation and infrastructure expertise, supported by extensive knowledge of security and defence, TSP Projects will bring robust capabilities in innovation and sustainable practice, in line with Gatwick’s ambitious ‘Decade of Change’ and environmental and health and safety targets.
Speaking about the exciting opportunity ahead, TSP Projects Associate Director, Andrew Craven commented, ”The news represents a strategic milestone in the TSP Projects diversification strategy and establishes TSP Projects as a Tier 1 supplier in the Aviation sector. This is an opportunity to demonstrate capability on the UK’s second largest airport that has over 45 million passengers a year. We will utilise this framework to achieve excellence in customer satisfaction and to grow our Engineering Teams in the region.”
