During the month of June, the world celebrates Pride Month, where countries and cities around the world come together to support their LGBTQ+ (Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and others) communities. TSP Projects are proud sponsors of York Pride and on Saturday June 9, staff members from our head office in York joined the parade, showing that we’re a company that thrives on diversity and inclusion for everyone, regardless of sexuality, gender orientation, race or religion. Over 19 companies in York sponsored the event and being involved allowed TSP Projects to support the LGBTQ+ community in Yorkshire along with companies such as Network Rail, Amazon and Sainsbury’s.

Here’s what some of our staff who attended thought of the event.

The event was huge, with thousands in attendance, with the parade itself almost half a mile in length. It’s great to see TSP Projects being involved in the local community as well as supporting such a great cause.

‘The carnival atmosphere on the day was amazing and the support from the crowds as the parade wound its way through the city centre made me proud to be there representing TSP Projects. The police officers had their faces painted with rainbow stripes and were dancing along with the crowds; local companies handed out sweets and sunglasses; spectators along the route handed out flowers and bottles of water. A fab day culminating in a massive picnic party on the Knavesmire. Bring on next year!!

TSP Projects are going to be supporting Reading Pride on September 1, we look forward to attending another great event.
