Contracted directly to Network Rail, TSP Projects provided the design of 14 MCB-OD level crossings (Manually Controlled Barriers – Obstacle Detector), an ABCL level crossing (Automatic Barrier Crossing – Locally Monitored), a novel MCB-OC level crossing (Manually Controlled Barriers – On-Call) as well as the associated civils design for the level crossing infrastructure for the ‘North Lincolnshire Resignalling Scheme’ project.
The designs were progressed from Approval in Principle, through to Detailed Design and support was provided in the construction and commissioning phase. The scheme was commissioned in early 2016.
The experienced, in-house TSP Projects Level Crossings Team have surveyed an initial batch of 10 level crossings to obtain additional site measurements. These will supplement the individual topographical surveys supplied by Siemens Rail Automation (and the marked-up ‘Testers Copy’ of each Ground Plan) to allow the production of accurate as-built drawings of the installed infrastructure to be completed. The remaining 6 site visits will be scheduled in the coming weeks.
