January 21 is known as Blue Monday for a number of contributing factors, however, we decided to do something positive and give back to our local communities.
For the entire week we had collection points in our offices for staff to donate food, clothing and personal items which would be sent to local food banks. We had so many donations in our York office that the box was over flowing!
Donations made by our colleagues across our offices will go out to local food banks to help families and members of our community who are struggling.
Michelle Athey, HR Business Partner at TSP Projects, helped coordinate the mountain of donations that staff brought in, said:
“With so many people, including young families, struggling to buy what we consider the basics, these simple items ranging from tins of soup to bottles of shampoo and soap will make a huge difference to day-to-day lives. We’re really grateful to our employees for making January a little less blue for those in need.”
At TSP Projects, we actively encourage our staff to take part in Corporate Social Responsibility activities and have an active workforce of employees who work to make the future better for everyone in our communities.
