TSP Projects, John Wood and Callum Linthwaite are preparing for their Canadian adventure

Award-winning UK design consultancy TSP Projects has begun a trans-Atlantic expansion with the opening of a new Canadian office as a satellite to its York HQ.

The company, whose specialisms include rail, energy, aviation, security and construction, is responsible for designing and constructing many major infrastructure projects within the UK. Building on this success, it has now formed a new subsidiary TSP Projects Canada Inc. and established a project office in Toronto where Senior Project Engineer John Wood will take on the role of resident Principal Design Manager

John will be in Canada in early November with Rail Director Keith Moverley to officially open the new office and to continue discussions with clients and partners in the Canadian Rail market.

The Canadian urban rail sector is a strong area of growth, with plans to modernise and expand the country’s public transit infrastructure gathering pace. This includes substantial investments by the provincial government in Ontario in a variety of rail initiatives. There are also significant developments in other provinces and cities.

Craig Scott, Managing Director at TSP Projects said:

“We are very excited to be extending our reach into the Canadian market. We are experts in heavy rail design in the UK and our aim is to support clients and partners in delivering the substantial rail investment being made by the provincial government in Ontario.”

Keith Moverley, Rail Director at TSP Projects added:

“Potential clients in Canada have been very impressed by our experience of delivering large, complex infrastructure projects, such as the redevelopment of King’s Cross Station and the ongoing Gatwick Airport Station design and are keen to talk to us about our plans for trans-Atlantic expansion.

“We have set up a Toronto office with a small team of UK experts and we intend to develop the business with local talent and work with local partners supported by UK expertise.”

John and Keith will be attending the annual CCPPPP National Conference on 5-7 November. The Conference attracts more than a thousand senior public and private sector participants and is recognised as the premier event on public-private partnerships in the world. TSP Projects will also be represented at a joint Canadian High Commission and Department of Trade and Industry event later this month.

TSP Projects’ Canadian office will be opening at 250 University Ave, Suite 200, Toronto, ON M5H 3E5, Canada.
