Today is the International Day of Charity, a day founded by the United Nations in recognition of how the notion of volunteerism and philanthropy provides opportunities for social bonding and inclusion.

Under our CSR programme at TSP Projects, our chosen charity is Heads Together, this charity  supports a subject that is very close to our hearts.   It is a mental health charity spearheaded by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Duke of Sussex, which combines a campaign to tackle stigma and change the conversation on mental health.  We are also active volunteers in our local communities,  supporting initiatives such as Berkshire Women’s Aid, York Cares and Thrive Gardening in Birmingham. Speaking of these events, employees supporting volunteer activity often state how helping in the community aids their overall wellbeing.  This  reinforces the message that Corporate Social Responsibility is a fantastic tool for businesses to ensure staff have a well-rounded and positive experience while at work whilst also giving back to local communities.

“At TSP Projects we are delighted to be able to support the great work undertaken by Heads Together. Our employees are always looking for new ways to increase our fundraising contribution and as a business we will continue to be committed to raising awareness of metal health issues.” – HR Director, Suzanne Walker.

By having a collective approach to Corporate Social Responsibility , we’re working to raise awareness and tackle challenges  faced by our communities.
